Go to the museum

There is no better date than the National Day of Quebec to see an exhibition on the province ! On view since June 2, 2023 at the McCord Stewart Museum, the exhibition Becoming Montreal: The 1800s Painted by Duncan, transports you to the time of artist James Duncan, who documents the evolution of Montreal from 1830 to 1880. A hundred watercolors are brought together for the first time and offer a unique look at the dream landscapes of the ancient Montreal !

Discover a microbrewery

Microbreweries are not uncommon in Quebec!
Just walk down the street to find one to your liking. In downtown Montreal, we advise you to try the Benelux microbrewery, where the beer is always fresh and accompanied by delicious snacks such as artisanal pretzels, cheese or sausage. The perfect place for a date, an evening with friends or a family reunion!

Enjoy an ice cream

Hmmm ice cream, we couldn’t do without it, especially on the national holiday.

A favorite destination for Quebecers, La Diperie is a not-to-be-missed dairy in the city center (and everywhere in Quebec). Hard, soft, in a bowl, in a cone, dipped or not: there is something for everyone!

Enjoy the festivities

Across Quebec, National Day festivities will be the center of attention on June 23 and 24. In Montreal, the parade and the big annual show will once again be held at Parc Maisonneuve.

On the other hand, the festivities will also be found everywhere in the different districts of the city thanks to the initiative « Les Fêtes de Quartiers ». We already know that the party will be present on Ruelle Labelle and in Dr. Sun Yat Sen Park!
