Launch of Sarahmée’s LOCAL song

Il y a quelques mois, avant le grand virage imposé par la COVID-19, XP_MTL proposait à Sarahmée de créer une pièce afin de soutenir et promouvoir l’achat local et de faire rayonner l’offre du centre-ville.

A NEW SONG OF SARAHMEE INITIATED BY XP_MTL TO SUPPORT LOCAL PURCHASE

A few months ago, before the big change imposed by COVID-19, XP_MTL proposed to Sarahmée to create a song to support and promote local purchasing and to promote downtown Montreal.

Today, we understand more than ever the importance of encouraging our economy, our artisans, our creators and our local producers. So we decided together to go ahead and move forward with this project !

We  believe that culture, creation and artistic collaborations contribute to our society, bring positivity and love and all the more in this time of uncertainty.

We are therefore extremely excited to launch today, the LOCAL song, composed and recorded with love by Sarahmée!

» The idea of releasing this song in the context of the global crisis that affects us means a lot to me. The project was to be launched later this year, but we realized that we could make a difference today. This period of confinement brings us back to essentials and our fundamental values, and I believe that despite all the misfortunes that this brings, very beautiful things are to come if we continue to stick together, ”expresses Sarahmée.

We invite you to discover LOCAL and share it in large numbers. Together, let’s make some noise !

ABOUT SARAHMÉE

Named in the Revelation of the Year category at the last ADISQ Gala as well as for her most recent Bun Dem clip at the Juno Prize, Sarahmée hits hard with Irréversible, a critically acclaimed album. Released just a year ago, this second opus, with a groove tinged with African rhythms and pop accents, exudes confidence and strength like the rapper who unveils herself without filter and balance.
