Christmas choirs that you must not miss!

From November 16 to December 14, 2019, choirs of both children and adults will sing Christmas songs on Victoria Street as part of the Museum’s holiday programing, for everyone to see and enjoy. These choirs will showcase the talent of singers of all ages. In case of rain or storm, the performances will move inside the Museum.

Choirs on the program :

Chœur Ciné-Jazz – Saturday, November 16 : In addition to joyfully performing Christmas favourites, the Chœur Ciné-Jazz is one of the few Quebec ensembles devoted to the music of movies, musicals, television series, video games as well as jazz.

Jazz Pop & Talons Hauts – Saturdays November 23 and December 7 : Founded in 2009 by the bandmaster Jean-François Trudel, Jazz pop et talons hauts is a choir of nine women whose varied repertoire will please everyone.

Sympholies Vocales – Saturday, November 30 : Sympholies vocales is a Francophone choir from Montreal’s West Island made up of 40 choristers dedicated to classical music under the direction of Julie Dufresne.

Ensemble Vocal Ganymède – Saturday, December 14 : Under the direction of Yvan Sabourin for almost 30 years, the Ensemble vocal Ganymède performs an a cappella repertoire that covers all styles and eras. Consisting exclusively of male voices, the ensemble occasionally joins other choirs from Montreal or elsewhere to interpret various works for four mixed voices. The choristers love the Christmas repertoire and are delighted to perform it each year for their faithful listeners.
